This piece was inspired by the Covid19 epidemic, It's #4 in my "Rise" series. It symbolizes reaching a higher spiritual mental state to over come adversity. The Muladhara Chakra symbol in the background represents the base root. His hands are positioned to greet which strengthens concentration and connects to the higher power. The Chakras represent one's life energy. The first /lowest or closest Chakra to the base of the spine is represented in Red, which is the color of the dragonfly. The dragonfly represents change, transformation, adaptability and self-realization. He is rooted to the Earth which symbolizes strength and stability. The breath tattoo symbol represents to do what comes naturally.
My passion for art stems from the endless possibilities that God places in my mind. For me, the act of creating art is liberating; my senses work in concert, molding together dreams, questions, and curiosities that visit my thoughts.
